What prize does the lucky person get?

    • typ

      A US VISA? :D

That’s more visitors than some countries have people.
We should all get together and invade someone.

And then rule with an iron fist guided by prediction markets!

I think you mean “with the invisible iron fist of the market.”

… I can’t decide if this is apt, really creepy, or both.

I think you mean with the iron claws of legacy property masquerading as the invisible hand of the market.

Sounds like a lot of signaling to me. :)

What is the probability that one of the three commenters that I see above me is the lucky person?

    • kith

unless they visit again later, near zero.
      Current count: 5997343

      • chepin

Should have said what is the probability given I do not know the current count. It was an incomplete sentence, my mistake.

  • Jon Redden

    Congrats Robin.

  • Steve

Ah, but it is not *really* about the number of visitors

    • typ

What reality do you live in?!? ;)

  • http://omicron-theta.blogspot.com/ Ari

That’s more than there are people in my country.

I assume the sixth million visitor will get a free copy of your first book?

That’s more than there are people in my country. I assume the sixth million visitor will get a free copy of your first book?

I doubt it, but I hope I’m wrong.

I’m recommending Robin Hanson for the ‘transhumanist hall of fame’, to receive prestigious awards and immortal status by post-human historians after the Singularity.

Post-human historians across the galaxy are no doubt poring over the archives of ‘Overcoming Bias’ ‘right now’ (in the appropriate relativistic reference frame) looking for clear evidence of insights. Who has impressed? ;)

We finally arrived, later than I had guessed.
